Water Rate Increase

As indicated on our September Water Bills; October Bills will reflect a rate adjustment. There will be a 10.9% increase in water rates. This is resulting from a 25% increase in the wholesale water rate NPWA is charged by the City of Mountain Home. We have worked hard to keep this increase as low as possible.

This 10.9% increase will be structured as follows:

3/4" Meter Customers' New Minimum Bill for 0-2000 Gallons will be $42.04

1" Meter Customers' New Minimum Bill for 0-2000 Gallons will be $52.83

1.5" Meter Customers' New Minimum Bill for 0-2000 Gallons will be $63.60

2" Meter Customers' New Minimum Bill for 0-2000 Gallons will be $86.50

3" Meter Customers' New Minimum Bill for 0-2000 Gallons will be $257.91

After the first 2000 Gallons of usage; the new per 1000 Gallon rate will be $11.04.

Unfortunately, there will be another increase in water rates soon as a result of our 2025 Retail Water Rate Study conducted by Arkansas Rural Water, in accordance with Arkansas ACT 605 of 2021.

This Rate Study dictates what every retail water supplier in the state must charge for thier water.

Because we understand the hardship these increases cause our customers, we are working with our Rate Study Provider to distribute the increases as fairly as possilbe to all customers of NPWA. As we are still in negotiations regarding the new rate structure; these increases will not be reflected until the January 2027.
